UPDATE
a new addition to Milwaukee bmx racing
we are going to start having opens on Tuesday night racing
the open will be 2 dollars, just for fun (no trophies or stamps)
so hopefully we can see a bunch of familiar faces tomorrow night at the hill

Hiya Sue ...

Open class just gives the kids (or adults) another chance to get some additional inexpensive laps in at the track. We haven't run them yet at Milwaukee as most of our races have been small enough that doubling up (two classes in one night) would be a challenge for even the most fit rider.

But, we've had a few guys (and gals) that want to give it a go. With enough interest ... it will potentially break into age groups (of 13 and under / 14 over) but, might just be one gate full of riders to begin with.

Open means exactly what it implies ... the class is "open" to any rider ... and that the classifications of Novice / Intermediate / Expert will not apply.

They can be fun for even new riders as it lets you know where you stack up with the really fast guys.

Open is in addition to all of the normal "class" racing that happens on a regular race night (or day) at Milwaukee BMX.

Hope this explains it !!!
